It's not a matter of what out of town guests to Colorado should see, but rather a question of how much they have.

My cousin is coming to Colorado from Florida this weekend, and she asked me what she should see.

First, I scooped her plan to go to Boulder and made her change it to Fort Collins. Too many people default to Boulder instead of coming just a bit further north and checking out the much more diverse and cool Choice City.

Then, as she mulled which mountain town to visit, I insisted on Steamboat. A lot of our mountain towns have great things to offer. To me, Steamboat has magic. Where else can you find hot water that flows out of the ground? And doesn't have an unpleasant odor to it?

The good news is that you can't really go wrong with any of the mountain towns. They all have their own charm, personality and unique things for visitors to enjoy. I happen to be partial to the Yampa River Valley, but the Vail Valley or Summit County are amazing as well.

For me, the must see's are Fort Collins, Steamboat, Rocky Mountain National Park, Red Rocks, Boulder, and Downtown Denver.

What do you recommend that your out of town friends or guests visit?
