While his hilarious parodies have always been popular, "Weird Al" Yankovic has never had a No. 1 album in all 31 years of his career.  Until now.

Weird Al's new album, "Mandatory Fun," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, according to Buzzfeed, selling over 104,700 copies in its first week.

Yankovic took a vanguard approach to promoting Mandatory Fun. After label RCA informed him that it wouldn’t pay for music videos promoting the album’s tracks, Yankovic sought out partners to foot the bill for eight videos, to be released back to back on eight continuous days...The goal, Yankovic said, was to get people “talking about the album all week long,” and it was achieved: The eight videos racked up more than 20 million cumulative views during their first week.

"Weird Al's" Twitter Feed has been showing just how grateful he is for the new album's success:

Congrats on all your success, "Weird Al!" You've earned it!
