According to the Denver Business Journal, if you're looking to take a Summer road trip this year, living in Colorado makes it much easier for you to do.

In a recent study done by WalletHub, Colorado is ranked as the eighth best state in the country for Summer road trips. 20 different things were looked at when trying to decide where a state should be ranked, including:

  • Driving and Lodging Costs
  • Road Conditions
  • Fun and Scenic Attractions

When Colorado was studied using these factors above, the state ranked number 11 for driving and lodging, number 23 for road conditions, and number 14 for it's attractions.

The study says that road trips will be very popular for the Summer, 2015 as families can take advantage of gas prices that are much lower than they were one year ago. Combine that with how much unemployment is down compared to past Summers, this could be a big year for the road trip tourism industry.

While Colorado makes the list at number eight, the top five include Oregon, Nevada, Minnesota, Washington, and Ohio.
