The Town of Timnath is celebrating the grand opening of the new Poudre Fire Authority Station 8.

The station will serve Timnath and an additional 235-square-mile response area covered by PFA.

The project of the new station is according to PFA Chief Tom DeMint  "built for the future," came in ahead of schedule and under budget. The station will be fully staffed, 24/7.

You are invited to celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, January 28th. Opening remarks will begin at 10 a.m. at Station 8, 4800 Signal Tree Drive.

The event is free, and you will be able to tour the station, meet the firefighters and learn more on how the Poudre Fire Authority serves our community.

From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. you can grab lunch from Firehouse Subs, cash donations are encouraged with proceeds going to non-profit funds support the installation of a future fire museum, the establishing of a permanent 9/11 Memorial, and fire and life safety education.
