Victims of Cinemark Massacre Ordered to Pay $700k
A Colorado judge has come to the conclusion that four victims of the 2012 Aurora theater shooting should pay close to $700,000 in legal fees to Cinemark.
According to Fox News, due to Cinemark winning a case in the spring where victims claimed the theater chain could've done more, the corporation was then able to recoup legal fees from the winning court battle.
Families of the victim's are appealing the ruling by the judge.
The plaintiffs in the earlier case were warned that the possibility of having to pay Cinemark was very much a possibility, and were told they should withdraw their charges.
The story states that Ashley Moser, Stefan Moton, Joshua Nowlan, and Nickelas Gallup were still part of the case when the judge ruled in June that Cinemark wasn't liable.
