Two people died in separate motorcycle crashes in Weld County over the weekend.  A 51-year-old Greeley man died Friday night in west Evans when his motorcycle collided with a van. A 56-year-old Nunn man died Sunday evening after his motorcycle hit a telephone pole.

Nicholas Blea was pronounced dead at North Colorado Medical Center after the crash occurred at 47th Avenue and Tuscany Street in Evans on Friday Night.

According to the Greeley Tribune:

A 45-year-old Greeley woman, Anita Bley, who was with Blea on the motorcycle, was taken to NCMC, where she was in stable condition. A 19-year-old Evans man, Taylor Rine, was driving the minivan and he was taken to NCMC with what police described as minor injuries.

Blea wasthe 28th person to die on Weld County roads this year, compared to 23 this time last year. He is the ninth person to die in a motorcycle crash this year.

The second person who died in a Weld County motorcycle crash over the weekend has not been identified . We do know the 56-year-old man is from Nunn.

According to the Greeley Tribune:

The man was riding northbound on U.S. 85 when he took the O Street exit near 8th Avenue, ran through a stop sign, clipped a guard rail and hit a telephone pole in a ditch. He was not wearing a helmet.

He is the 29th person to die on Weld County roads this year. He is the 10th person to die in a motorcycle crash this year.
