Two of Colorado's best, Keystone and Copper Mountain, open their slopes to skiers and snowboarders today. Both are Summit County resorts that boast a diverse array of terrain, short lift lines (especially on weekdays), and amenities that are friendly to everyone.

Copper Mountain is right on I-70. You literally can't miss it on your way by. It is a fabulous resort that features all different kinds of terrain and some of the best views of Colorado resorts. They are unveiling the new Speed Center for the U.S. Ski Team to compliment Woodward at Copper, the year round training facility for extreme athletes.

Keystone, the only resort around that features night skiing, is opening it's lengthy groomers (Schoolmarm measures 3.5 miles) today and will follow with their expansive terrain spanning their three peaks as snow allows. Both will have a few slopes open with all of their other amenities pretty much ready to go.
