Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is closed for the season, but it is scheduled to reopen next week. Weather permitting, the highest continuous paved road in the U.S. will open to automobile traffic on Friday, May 22nd.

Trail Ridge is currently closed at Rainbow Curve on the east side, about 12 miles from east side entrances, and the Colorado River Trailhead on the west side, about 10 miles from the Grand Lake Entrance.

The road is open to pedestrians, bicycles, and leashed pets beyond closed gates, unless otherwise signed.
