It won't be long before we have three lanes of traffic on I-25 between Fort Collins and Loveland. The expansion of the Interstate  is moving forward after Weld County commissioners signed on to the project.

The commissioners have committed $2 million for the project that would create a third lane for a portion of I-25. Project planners want to add a third lane over a 14-mile stretch from Highway 402 in Loveland to Highway 14 in Fort Collins, but first they’ll need to expand the bridges. The expansion could start in the next three to five years.

Larimer County continues to work on securing more funding before work can get underway.
