Then & Now – The Whitton Block [PICTURES]

The Whitton Block is just down from the Northern Hotel, a former favorite Then & Now post from us thanks to the Fort Collins Local History Archive.

This one is amazing. The building looks exactly the same. I'm not sure if Fort Collins was so bike friendly back in the 1920's, but for now, we are glad it is.

You know how Laporte becomes Walnut and then becomes Matthews? Yeah, me neither. This is just off Old Town Square, just west of Linden. :)

Here it is in 1927.

Fast forward 50 years and move to the west just a schoche, and this is a shot of the Northern Hotel in 1977.
