The United States Army Has Another Bad Week And Colorado Loses One Of Its Own – Week 30 Honor Post

Sadly, the loss of life continues including one of our own from right here in Colorado. Since last Monday’s post, we have brought home six (6) more soldiers with no end in sight. The continuation of this war, at this point, serves no purpose to the citizens of the United States who and the ones footing the bill in more ways than one!

Spc. Anthony R. Maddox - Age 22 from Port Arthur, Texas. Died July 22, in Landstuhl, Germany, of a non-combat related incident that occurred in Andar, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. Spc. Anthony R. Maddox was assigned to the 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.

Spc. Rob L. Nichols - Age 24 from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Killed In Action on July 23, in Soltan Kheyl, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Spc. Rob L. Nichols was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. also KIA was 1st Lt. Jonam Russell and Sgt. Stefan M. Smith.

Killed In Action on July 23, in Soltan Kheyl, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 1st Lt. Jonam Russell was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. also KIA was Spc. Rob L. Nichols and Sgt. Stefan M. Smith.

Killed In Actin on July 27, in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. Sgt. Eric T. Lawson was assigned to the 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Also killed was Spc. Caryn E. Nouv.

Nouv - Age 29 from Newport News, Virginia. Killed In Actin on July 27, in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. Spc. Caryn E. Nouv was assigned to the 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Also killed was Sgt. Eric T. Lawson.
