It’s nothing new for one of the most famous truck stops in the country to be receiving national attention. Johnson’s Corner, which has gained international fame over the years for its cinnamon rolls, is expected to have a spot on an upcoming episode of “Food Paradise” on The Travel Channel titled “Truck Stop Paradise.”

The team from Prometheus Entertainment, which produces the program for The Travel Channel,  should be in from around 7:00 am until 2:00 or 3:00 pm., according to Johnson’s Corner Facebook page.

The show will highlight about eight truck stops from Maine to California for a “road trip” feel, according to the producers.

Last week, the truck stop’s Facebook page put out the word about the upcoming visit “Want to help support Johnson’s Corner on on the Food Paradise show!! The Travel Channel will be out here on Wednesday May 30th. Come out and support Johnson’s Corner and be a part of the fun!!!”, with the hope of drawing a lively crowd for the TV cameras. It was announced via Facebook on Tuesday night that the Travel Channel was forced to move the filming from Wednesday to Friday.

This week, Johnson’s Corner food service manager Bob Reichelderfer is making sure the 300-seat restaurant is fully staffed and that the chrome and countertops are gleaming. He said the producers told him they’ll want to interview some customers, talk to Johnson’s Corner owner, Chauncey Taylor, and himself, and take some footage in the kitchen, the bakery and the dining areas.

But he told the Loveland Reporter Herald he’s not nervous. “We’re excited,” he said.
