What do you do with your Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns if you live in Loveland? They can be disposed of in an environmentally-friendly way -  by composting them.

The Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division recommends pumpkins be placed in the green yard debris cart. Candles, wax, foil and other contaminants must first be removed. Residents should dispose of painted pumpkins in the trash cart – they cannot be composted.

Where to Take Your Pumpkins

Residents who do not subscribe to yard debris cart service can take their pumpkins to the City’s Recycling Center at 400 N. Wilson Ave. Pumpkins are accepted free of charge for City residents with a current yard debris permit and can be placed in the grass and leaf pile.
