"Go west, young man" was once the advice to all ambitious Americans, as the land of opportunity was becoming more and more crowded along the eastern side.

It's still great advice, especially for those looking for fun. For our guys trip this year (a few guys from PA visit us in CO every year), we decided instead of the ski in/ski out-stay in one place idea, we'd road trip it, and enjoy cold and warm weather sports.

Packed in my car...ready to go! I'm in the driver's seat, so we're a little tight in there.

I live in Fort Collins. I picked the guys up from the Denver Airport one Sunday night.

Monday we skied and rode at Beaver Creek, then drove three hours to Moab.

Tuesday we mountain biked Moab, then drove about 3 more hours to Park City, where we'd stay for a few days and shred the surrounding summits.

Wednesday we skied and rode Canyons, Utah.
