I can have as much fun on a mountain bike at Boyce Park in Pennsylvania as I can on a pair of skis at Steamboat.

Well, almost as much fun. Nothing beats skiing, but the ups and downs of the PA hills can come pretty close.

When I moved to Colorado, I thought it would be even better for mountain biking than PA. It turns out that I don’t enjoy the huge monster mountains as much as I do the rolling hills. When I bike in CO, it seems like I’m going either up or down. It’s up, up, up, up, up, up (repeat to infinity). Then, down. It’s very uneven. It’s so much climbing, and then it takes a fraction of the time on the downhill.

Yes, I know that I might not be looking hard enough. But when I realized I need to look so much harder, it lost me. Then my mountain bike was stolen. I had street tires on it and used it to bop around town, but when it came time to replace, I decided on a road bike instead of mountain.

So, when I am in PA, I always want to ride. The video shows more of why.
