Over the last weekend of September, we set out on a road trip. The ‘Fall Colors’ road trip for 2015: To see beautiful scenery as the leaves begin to change their colors. Our destination: Gunnison/Crested Butte. Along the way, we stopped at the Continental Divide, and couldn’t have been more amazed!

Where to go to see the changing colors? It’s a yearly question for many in Colorado.  This year, my girlfriend, Amber, and I opted for ‘South.’  We headed up highway 285 on our way down to stay the night in Gunnison.  We saw so many great fall colors across the route! The mountains were on 'fire'- in the sense that what was green was now orange and red.

Right after we crested Monarch Pass and the Continental Divide, there was a pull-off. Right there, there was a group of Aspens with the greatest colors- green, red, yellow, gold; and the leaves were dancing in the wind that was blowing there at the summit… and it was awesome!

Where do YOU like to go to see the changing colors?
