Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is a great guy. He has helped out our radio stations in a lot of ways over the years. I imagine with the Colorado Floods of 2013, his skills have been put to the test as he helps coordinate rescue efforts, assess damage, and inform all of the different departments throughout the flooding event. It's a lot of work, but we are glad he is one of the officials at the helm of it all.

One of the great things about Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is that he is a very outgoing man, always tweeting and posting about his job. With the Colorado Floods of 2013, he's been very open and informative through social media.

He has been all over Larimer County from Estes Park up to the Poudre Canyon, witnessing and documenting all of the devastation. Here's a quick look at some of the highlights from the sheriff's facebook page over the last few days. Come take a look at the disaster through the Sheriff's eyes from now back to when it all started.

Throughout the flood Sherrif Smith has been sharing pictures of the different areas around Larimer County. Here is a look at some of the images that we have seen from him lately.

The Sheriff also took some time to jump in a helicopter and tour some of the destruction that has taken place. You can see that aerial video below and we also have more footage from other sources that you can watch HERE.

You can connect with Sheriff Justin Smith on facebook and Twitter to see the latest updates from him as the flooding event continues.
