Team Fort Collins Calling For Nominations for Lamplighter Award

Team Fort Collins provides education and presentations that help to keep teens off of drugs and alcohol.

As a recovering alcoholic, this is a cause I can get behind.

To further this effort, Team Fort Collins is giving away the Lamplighter award, and is seeking nominations until Oct. 15, 2014.

According to their website, the awards are for individuals or couples that really make a difference in the use of drugs and alcohol by teenagers and kids in Northern Colorado.

Team Fort Collins is seeking public nominations for the 12th Annual Lamplighter Award. The Lamplighter Award is an annual award given to an individual or couple who contribute significant time, energy and resources to work with youth in Northern Colorado.

To be nominated the individual or couple must be a volunteer and who does not receive compensation for their work with youth. Nominees must be from the Northern Colorado community, and may not be a past recipient of the Lamplighter Award. The nominee should embody the mission of Team Fort Collins– dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles through the prevention of substance abuse.
