If you were thinking this has to be the worst storm we've seen in a long time, turns out you're right!

The Coloradoan reports that this storm has officially been recognized as the worst one this year.  The 14.9 inches of snow from this storm beats out the year's previous record of 6.7 inches, back on March 23rd.

“As nice as this is, and as much as this is helping with the drought, it’s not totally brought us out of the woods yet. But we’re in much better shape than we were last year,” said Noah Newman, a climate center research associate.

I'm not sure of this is cause for celebration or depression.  Although, I suppose anything that brings us closer to being out of a drought is a good thing in my book!
