How Much Snow Will the Fort Collins Area Get? (Hazardous Weather Outlook In Effect)

A winter storm is-a-brewin', we had highs in the 70's yesterday and a chance of snow tonight here in Fort Collins. Right now our forecast is calling for a 60% chance of precipitation tonight (although, it is already raining), 40% on Thursday and 20% on Friday. Why Is The Weather Channel Going To Start Naming Winter Storms This Year?

After not sleeping much last Thursday night while sitting up listening to the wind howl and wondering if it was going to blow my house to Kansas, I figured we had seen the last of the wind for awhile. Wrong! Northern Colorado was then deprived of what was a beautiful weekend by extremely strong winds. Fences are down, trash cans are miles from home, and hairdos will never be the same. I can officially say I hate the wind! Is there any weather you just can't stand?
