The City of Loveland says that due to our extreme temperatures, the water system is in high demand, so that means lower water pressure for Loveland Water & Power customers. Water usage in the City of Loveland was up 35% on Wednesday, using 27 million gallons.

Tuesday night Loveland’s City Council passed a ban on the sale and use of personal fireworks within city limits.  Governor John Hickenlooper already issued a Colorado state-wide ban on fireworks and  Larimer County Commissioners have restrictions in place for Larimer County.

Smoke can be seen in and around Boulder and north Denver as reports of a new fire has broken out in Boulder County. The fire has been named the Flagstaff Fire and is southwest of the city of Boulder. Pre-evacuation notices have been sent for several grass fires that may have been started by lightning.
