I live on the South end of Fort Collins; and lately, I've been really excited about new restaurants and businesses opening on my end of town. Sure, Old Town is still a great area; but it's nice having cool eateries and shops nearby, instead of all the way across town. So honestly, I'm kind of sad to know that a South Fort Collins bistro has decided to move North...

It's hard to believe that it's already September and that we will soon be headed into the holiday season. With that in mind the Windsor Food Pantry, run by Faith United Church of Christ, is in a dire situation headed into one of the busiest times of year.

It's not full-on sit-down dining, but it's not fast food either. Fast-casual restaurants offer higher quality food than the local fast food joint; but still get it to you fast, even if it costs a little more. And apparently, we love fast-casual restaurants; because there are a ton of them in our community.

I still have yet to try any of the food trucks that have popped up in Fort Collins, and it's driving me crazy! But maybe tonight, I'll get my chance to try a bunch of them at once!

I'm not going to miss 100 Octane in Old Town Square; but I'm excited about what's taking its place!

Yesterday we discovered that the Nordy's Bar-B-Que restaurant in Old Town Fort Collins had abruptly shut down. Today, we have some insight as to why.

I don't live near Old Town anymore; but one restaurant on that side of town I managed to try a couple times (and wanted to try again) was Nordy's. Who doesn't love an all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet, right? Well, unfortunately, I'll never get to go back to the Nordy's Fort Collins location; and neither will anyone else.

Ever since the Beach House in Old Town met an untimely end, I've been quick to share any details of the new business taking its place at 125 S. College Ave. First, we found out it would be a joint venture between Wynkoop and Breckenridge Brewery. Then, we had a name: The Mainline. Now, we get to see inside the completely redesigned space!

Five years ago, if you'd told me I would absolutely love sushi someday, I would have said you were crazy. And yet (thanks to my wife), here I am, super-excited that a new sushi place is coming to the town where I live!

It's always nice to hear about new businesses starting in Fort Collins, rather than old ones ending. And personally, I love seeing new restaurants pop up. Maybe that's why this story jumped out at me today...
