Yesterday the City of Loveland knew that they had some problems going on within the cities water system. It looks like they have now isolated part of the problem and are working quickly to ensure that the infrastructure will be easier to repair going forward.
We are seeing conditions improve and roads are beginning to re-open, however many in Weld County still remain flooded. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has now re-opened both directions of I-25 in all areas that were previously closed.
Estes Park was cut off from all communication with the outside world, but as conditions improve we are getting a look at the aftermath from the small community. Here are some of the pictures from the area that we have seen so far.

The flooding we’re experiencing right now is some of the worst in our area’s history. At least 17 miles of highway 34 in the Thompson Canyon will have to be rebuilt after being washed-out or damaged. With the snowy season looming on the horizon, just how long is it going to take before that route is back to normal?
