We all know it's been unusually hot, but I didn't know that affected water pressure. The City of Loveland says that due to our extreme temperatures, the water system is in high demand, so that means lower water pressure for Loveland Water & Power customers.
Water usage in the City of Loveland was up 35% on Wednesday, using 27 million gallons.
The City of Loveland wants to remind us that personal fireworks are illegal in Loveland and all of Colorado. Due to an executive order by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, the use of personal fireworks in the City of Loveland and throughout the state of Colorado is prohibited until further notice.
Loveland’s annual July 4th fireworks celebration at North Lake Park will be presented as planned.
Just in time for the nice weather, and some spring clean-up in the yard, the City of Loveland's yard debris cart service will begin April 2nd. Subscribers of the service can set out their yard debris cars each week during the season.

With our beautiful weather this week, it's almost a distant memory, that heavy, wet snow that fell on October 25th and 26th. Well it cost a lot to clean up. The City of Loveland released new information on how much the late October snowstorm cost the city Tuesday afternoon. Over $726,000 was spent in tree branch clean-up, power outages and overtime for city workers, according to the information. $430,000 of that was extra, non-typical expenses.
