2013 Colorado Flood

As the flood waters recede in Colorado, many residents have been forced to leave their homes, lost personal belongings and are without the bare necessities. You can help in many ways, find out how.

For some reason this video both strikes me as beautiful and sickeningly sad. According to Buzzfeed, Mark Changaris and his roommates watched water fill their home during, what would become, the most devastating flood in Colorado history. Amidst the destruction Mark pulled out his piano bench and started playing a haunting version of 'Mad World.'

If you have been watching TV coverage of the Colorado floods, chances are you have seen this now iconic image of Greeley resident Tommy Meyer leading his horses to safety as the south Platte River crested its banks and flooded his farm. We got a chance to catch up with him after the storm and capture his story.

Floodwaters from the Colorado floods haven't just destroyed miles of roadways, train tracks have been washed away as well. Union Pacific, BSNF and Amtrak have had to detour deliveries and passenger routes.
