A section of Taft Hill Road has been closed (Monday, August 1, 2016) due to a single car crash involving a forklift. According to the Coloradoan, the section of Taft Hill between Harmony Road and the Larimer County Landfill is expected to remain closed for several hours as the area is cleaned up.

According to reports, a truck pulling a trailer carrying a forklift veered off the road as it was traveling south due to a possible mechanical failure. As the truck left the road, the forklift detached from the trailer landing in a nearby waterway. A crane has been dispatched to remove the forklift, and it is believed that there is no risk of hazardous contamination, though hazmat booms to absorb any materials of liquids, like diesel fuel, have been deployed just in case.
