Around 8:30 p.m. on Monday (August 10, 2015) a man drove into, and smashed-up, the sign out front of the IHop on Oakridge and Harmony in Fort Collins.

They still had 1 and ½ hours of business to do on Monday night, but IHop off of Harmony and Oakridge closed early after a man drove into their sign out front.

He must have been going pretty fast, considering the damage to the sign and to his truck.  He was on eastbound Harmony, when he lost control.

Fort Collins police charged the driver, Robert Assad (28), with Driving Under the Influence and Carless Driving after being treated at Poudre Valley Hospital.
