Susan’s Road to the Country Radio Hall of Fame – Second Guessing The Dress
The Dress has certainly served it purpose. Now, I think I’m going to have to let it go. While it fits like a glove – just the way it’s supposed to – it’s just not flattering, especially in pictures. It’s SATIN and really is just too much.
Our Country Radio Hall of Fame induction is just days away now and ‘Susan’s Style’
is truly Colorado Cowgirl. This LBD (little black dress) has been patiently hanging in my closet for years waiting for me to fit into it. A 30-pound weight loss made that happen. It’s also a gift from my Bestie so it’s very special to me.
This journey began February 21, 2017, two day’s after I lost my beloved 13-year-old dog, Jazzie. I don’t remember the actual words, but it was something like, ‘Dear God, Please throw me a rope…I can’t make it without that dog.’
The news of our induction was that rope, giving me with something HUGE to look forward to. I moved on through the sadness and started prepping for our big night. That required me to ‘adult’ and the White Dress was my choice for attire.
So, thank you, White Dress, for bringing me this far, but LBD is so much easier in so many ways.
