Student Accused of Bringing Edible Pot to Loveland School

This story emerged at a Loveland City Council Study Session.

A student in the Thompson School District is accused of bringing an edible form of marijuana to school to share with others. The student is accused of bringing marijuana laced brownies to one of the middle schools in the district, although the name of the school has not been revealed. Officials say that though the edibles were legally obtained it is illegal for anyone under 21 to possess or use pot.

“Our schools are drug free zones and always have been and that’s what we will continue to enforce,” Mike Hausmann, public information officer for the Thompson School District.
