We received some encouraging news this afternoon on the fire burning northwest of Fort Collins. Firefighters experienced another good day fighting the Stuart Hole Fire Wednesday and good progress was made with containment. Containment of the 227 acre fire is now reported at 80 percent. Some resources were released from the fire today.  The current cost estimate for fighting the fire is $324,000.

According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, road restrictions in the area will be lifted beginning at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Area residents and visitors are advised to drive with caution in the area as emergency vehicles will still be in the area on the roads.

Smoke might continue to be visible for some time in the area.
