Obviously the way to sell a professional sports franchise is not by putting them on Craigslist. It's a joke, son, but a good one at that. However, it seems as though Dick Monfort has to get out as owner of the Colorado Rockies

I usually cheer for the hometown guy, and because Monfort is a Greeley guy, I have given him a few passes, but this team will never consistently succeed with him as the owner in my opinion. He told one fan this week “if you don’t like the product, if you don’t like the experience, don’t come,” he told another fan "by the way you talk maybe Denver doesn't deserve a franchise, maybe time for it to find a new home," and he has no interest in putting a winning team on the field in my opinion.

You can bet your left leg that either or both of the team's star players, Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzales, will be out of Colorado by next season, and we can't win with them here. Imagine how bad we will be without them!

What I am trying to say here is that it seems like  Monfort likes the mystic of owning a pro baseball team, he likes the money that comes with it, and he could care less about winning or what the fans think. Again, at least that is the image he is showing the fans.

Can we get him to say something racist so we can get an owner like the L.A. Clippers?? Too soon?

I am not alone in feeling this way. As a matter of fact, another disgruntled Rockies fan has taken to Craigslist and posted the team as for sale, and even created a Facebook page called "Dick Monfort Must Sell."

Here is to hoping that some billionaire with nothing better to do happens to see that ad on Craigslist, somehow gets in contact with Monfort, and makes him an offer he can't refuse!
