Small Fire at Northridge High School in Greeley Causes Evacuation
I'm sure it started out as a prank, but it turned out much more serious. A small fire at Northridge High School in Greeley forced an evacuation yesterday. According to the Greeley Tribune, students were evacuated for more than an hour Thursday afternoon after someone set a painting on fire.
No students, teachers or staff members were hurt in the fire, which started around noon.
A Northridge staff member had used a fire extinguisher to stop the fire before firefighters arrived. The fire started when a piece of artwork in the hallway was set on fire. Investigators have not yet identified the person responsible. School officials say thousand of dollars worth of damage was done.
