Shots Fired in Fort Collins Road Rage Incident, Arrest Made

An arrest was made after shots were fired during a road rage incident in Fort Collins on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, deputies received reports of a possible road rage incident involving 2 vehicles on I-25 in Fort Collins. According to a news release, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office says deputies were informed by a third party that Logan Michael Kindall, 23, contacted them to let them know a vehicle was following him to his residence in the 4400 block of Bridle Drive.

As deputies arrived on the scene, they received multiple reports of shots fired in the same area.

Through investigation, deputies learned a man began following Kindall to get his license plate number after Kindall allegedly threw something at his vehicle. When they both stopped at Kindall's residence (the other man stopped about 100 yards away), Kindall exited his vehicle, went inside his home, and returned with a shotgun. Kindall then approached the other man and pointed the shotgun at him, so the man began to drive away. Kindall ran after the vehicle, firing the shotgun one time in his direction.

No one was injured and there were no reports of property damage, the LCSO says.

Kindall was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail on allegations of felony menacing and reckless endangerment after deputies obtained a search warrant, recovering the weapon and other evidence.

These charges are merely an accusation and Kindall is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
