Fort Collins Police issued a release on Wednesday alerting the public that a sexually violent predator has moved back into the area.

73 year old George Henderson was convicted in 2002 of child abuse, negligently causing serious bodily injury. According to the Coloradoan, Henderson was sentenced to prison and had to register as a sex offender.

The release also states that Henderson does pose a risk of re-offending in some manner and is not able to be treated.

He is currently being supervised and housed in community corrections, which is located at 2255 Midpoint Drive in Fort Collins. He has also went by the name George Quigley.

He is 5 feet 3 inches tall with gray hair, blue eyes, and a tattoo of a cross on his chest.

Fort Collins Police state that they are releasing the following information pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 16-13-901 through 16-13-905, which authorizes law enforcement agencies to notify the public of sex offender’s release when the offender has been determined to be a Sexually Violent Predator and is subject to community notification. The purpose of this notification is to enhance public safety and protection and protection. Vigilantism or the use this information to harass, threaten or intimidate the offender, the offender’s significant others or the community notification team is criminal behavior and will not be tolerated.
