Seasonal Colorado Brews to Try This Winter

New Belgium's Accumulation, has a very fitting name and appearance for the winter season. It is a white IPA that will take your tastebuds to a hoppy wonderland. Featuring a variety of fruity flavors along with some spice and wheat to smooth it out, Accumulation makes for the perfect beer to warm up with during the cold months of winter.

Jingle Ale was first brewed in 1933, and has remained a holiday favorite ever since. Packed with distinct spices including nutmeg, cinnamon, orange peel, and ginger, this amber ale definitely has a flavor like no other and is a fantastic compliment to this time of the year. While you're in Old Town checking out the lights, be sure to stop in to Coopersmith's to try this tasty brew.

If these aren't the ultimate winter brews, I don't know what is. For the Irish Winter, 1933 Brewing Company combined an Irish red Ale with plenty of spices and Fuggle hops, and after fermentation, this beer got a heaping dose of apple wood roasted Colombian and Guatemalan coffee from local roaster, Woodchip Coffee.

The Cranberry Copper makes for a festive beer, especially around the holidays, being that it is made with a seasonal staple – lots of cranberries.

Featuring hints of pine and an overall refreshing taste, Slopestyle Winter IPA is a beer that fits right in to the cold, snowy months. It's a full-bodied, hearty red ale with a hoppy kicker to it. If you can't make it down to Boulder to try this seasonal beer, you can pick up a 6-pack through February at most local liquor stores.

This barrel-aged beer comes to us from Denver and has been making its seasonal appearance since 1995. Hibernation Ale smells rich, tastes hearty, and with an ABV of 8.7%, it's guaranteed to keep you nice and toasty all winter long.

Isolation Ale comes out of hiding usually as the first flakes begin to fall and stays around until the end of December. It's definitely a winter warmer, and is a combination of tasting nutty and sweet, almost like caramel or toffee.
