The Colorado Rockies are off to a fantastic start of their 2015 season, as they swept the series last night in Milwaukee, taking the win against the Brewers in extra innings.

The game was all tied up at 4-4 in the ninth inning after the Brewers scored two runs off of Rockies veteran closer, LaTroy Hawkins. Colorado Catcher turned first baseman, Wilin Rosario was responsible for the phenomenal pinch-hit home run that saved the night for them, giving the Rockies a victory with a final score of 5-4 in the 10th inning.

Another exciting moment from the game last night was the 461-foot homer that Carlos Gonzales crushed off of Brewers pitcher, Jonathan Broxton. CarGo now leads the 2015 list for farthest home run distance.

The Rockies only managed to win 21 road games during their 2014 season, so with three already under their belts, here's hoping that this year the stats will only improve. During the series, the Rockies had a total of 38 hits, including 16 doubles, and actually tied a record set by the Giants back in 1912 for most doubles hit in the first two games of the season. They hit 12 doubles during those first two games in Milwaukee.

Remember to wear your purple on Friday, as the Rockies return to Coors Field for their sold out, season home-opener against the Chicago Cubs. Tyler Matzek is set to pitch. The game is at 2:10 p.m. and can be seen on Root Sports. Go Rockies!
