This Christmas, TRI 102.5 will be bringing listeners 24 hours of special holiday programming. Starting at noon on December 24, 2017, until noon on Christmas Day, we’ll be playing vintage radio productions of Christmas favorites! Such as, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘Miracle on 34th Street’, and ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, all commercial free!

Also during our 24 hours of Christmas classics, we’ll be playing a reading of ‘’Twas the Night Before Christmas,’ as read by retired Loveland Police Sergeant Chuck Higney. Chuck and his family were neighbors of my family when they first moved to Loveland. Chuck spent over 30 years with the LPD.

A tradition that Chuck began was that each year, he would recite the Christmas poem for all the officers working on Christmas Eve, along with the reminder that the most important job that night was to get home at the end of their shift.

It’s TRI 102.5’s honor to help keep Sgt. Higney’s tradition going – for all the police officers, firefighters and first responders across Northern Colorado, and those listening on the World Wide Web. Maybe even Santa will have us on is his sleigh!
