Fort Collins hit 91 degrees yesterday and Denver tied a 114-year-old record high. ENOUGH already!

The high temperature at Denver International Airport hit 97 degrees Thursday afternoon, equaling a mark set in 1899.

The 97 degrees also tied the record high for any day in September. The average high for Sept. 5th is 82 degrees. It was the 51st day of 2013 with temperatures of 90 degrees or above.

The high temperature is forecast to be in the 90's through the weekend. But cooler starting Monday, with a hi of 85 followed by the upper 70's Tuesday and Wednesday.  Finally, it'll be cool enough to horseback ride.  See you on the trail.
