As I sit to write this, news coverage and Facebook fills up with astonishing numbers of people who have showed up around the country(and World) to march for a cause. Clearly, people need things to feel differently then they do. One way we all know this can happen in a positive way, is through community involvement. The 'Rally for Our Rights' is all about ways to get involved and be active in our community. It's free and will be full of inspiration, knowledge and community.

Fort Collins for Progress' is putting on the 'Rally for Our Rights'. They say this is as a way "to discuss the importance of being politically active and involved in the community in order to protect our civil liberties and to forge the type of world that we all want to see!"

There will be speakers talking about being politically active, vendors and booths, and a town-hall style discussion with local elected officials. The event is from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, January 22nd at the Northside Aztlan Community Center at 112 Willow Street in north Fort Collins.
