According to the Coloradoan, the city of Fort Collins is working on a plan to help Transfort save money by collaborating on three projects that will decrease travel time along the MAX route. The time savings could be close to five minutes in some instances. It currently takes MAX between 22 to 28 minutes to travel the full length of the five mile route. Kurt Ravenschlag, General Manager of Transport, tells the Coloradoan that one of the projected plans will be to construct a dedicated bus lane northbound. The one and a half mile bus lane would travel between Drake and McClelland and would cost approximately $127,000. The remaining projects for the plan consist of giving buses the right of way at intersections that get easily clogged. Another idea being proposed is to speed up the bus routes when travelling through Colorado State University
