Possible Measles Exposure in Colorado

A person who has not been vaccinated and traveled internationally was diagnosed with measles and could have exposed citizens in the Denver and Boulder area according to Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. 

Health officials state the individual visited numerous locations in the Denver, Aurora and Boulder areas between December 21st - 29th.  From an article in the DenverChannel, these locations include:

Measles symptoms usually begin between 7 -14 days after exposure. Some cases can take up to 21 days. Symptoms of measles are fever, runny nose, red eyes which are sensitive to light and coughing. After those symptoms show, a rash appears on the face and will spread on the body.

Health officials are asking anyone who might develop symptoms of measles to call their doctor's office and not go in if you think you have measles to avoid spreding to others.
