Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Beyonce are listed as a collective #68 on the Power 100 list of the Hollywood Reporter.

Dubbed 'The Pop Stars', the article lists their various stunning achievements as the reason to put all of them in one boat.

It seems that the performers carry little clout compared to the top ten, most of which run or help to run major studios and networks.

Still, to lump Taylor Swift, who this year opened an education center in the country music capitol of the world, and has been entertainer of the year, at the top of the most popular music format in America and just on top of all categories in the exact same category as all the others seems slightly off. Not that any of the others lack anything. In fact, they are of such substance, it would seem that each of them deserve their own ranking.

But what do I know about Hollywood power. According to the list, performers can't match up to the power of the people that run the machine, with most of the list being made up of execs, vps, directors of this and officers of that. These people must be the ones that make the pop stars.
