Fire Restrictions sign at Little Jimmy Trail Camp in the Angeles National ForestUgh, we were all already complaining about the heat this week, but now the Coloradoan is reporting that there are two small wildfires burning in the Cherokee Park area of Larimer County.

Let's hope these things get put out quickly.

The Coloradoan reports that  the Pine Creek fire is only 1.5-acres so far, and the Sheep Mountain fire is only 1/4 of an acre.  They also say no structures are in any immediate danger.

Those acreage totals seem like nothing compared to some of the big fires we've seen over that past couple of years, I just hope they stay stat way.

If you've got any "bring the rain" dances that work, I'm sure the firefighters could use a hand dousing the flames and keeping cool. I'll just be hoping really hard form some moisture.

I'll update this story if I find out any more about these fires.

This was tweeted by the Larimer Sheriff at about 2:30PM:

LC Emergency Services has verified the Red Mountain/Highway 287 smoke report is smoke from #SheepMountainFire and #PineCreekFire.

***4PM UPDATE***

This was just tweeted by Canyon Lakes RD about the Pine Creek Fire:

#PineCreekFire is now estimated at just over 2.5 acres. Fire has burned on both private (~70%) and National Forest System land (~30%).
