It's no secret that dogs have that amazing way of comforting humans in times of need, and making us smile when we are down. Anthony Lyons, a sixteen year old from Phoenix, Arizona, couldn't agree more.

Anthony is currently in the Phoenix Children's Hospital undergoing chemotherapy for Leukemia. He also has to check in once a month for treatment.

A family friend, Roberta Lucero-Koron, noticed how much joy it brought to Anthony when the hospital would bring in therapy dogs for him to visit with. The dogs really helped to lift his spirits. So, Lucero-Koron created a Facebook page to bring more smiles to his face when the dogs couldn't physically be there. Now, her small effort to help a friend has gone viral and it's so heartwarming.

On the Facebook page, 'Photo Doggies for Anthony,' people from all over the world can post a picture of their dog and send well wishes to Anthony. This simple act of kindness has truly made an impact and brightened this boy's days while he fights this horrible battle. The page already has over 1.3 million followers and is rapidly growing.

Anthony really does look at every single picture, and is so grateful for all of the outpouring love and support that he has received thus far. He even chooses some of his favorites to share on his Instagram account.

It is touching to see so many people rallying behind someone that they have never even met. The Lyons family cannot believe how many pictures they have gotten and take time every night to look, while laughing and crying out of happiness. If you haven't already, share you pooch photo on the page, and know that you are making a difference in Anthony's life!
