He's just so fun to watch.

They've been saying it's like having an offensive coordinator that has one of the best arms in football history.

I disagree. He seems more like a general manager or an owner.

Listen to him comment on what was going on on the scoreboard during the game against the Chargers.

I agree. I think I might agree with anything he says.

When he talks that way, it's so obvious that he doesn't just think about the offense of his team, he doesn't just think of football. He understands the whole business. From fan experience to what is appropriate to put on the scoreboard, he gets it.

I wrote recently about how I don't dig on sports as much as I used to. It's so true. Now, I only check out sports moments. If it's on TV and I'm on the couch, and it has more of a story than just another game, I'll watch a half hour or so.

Now, every Bronco game brings me that 30 minutes. We'll be talking about Manning forever. He's the kind of player we could tell younger players wistfully about, and I'll bet that will be true in 50 years from now.
