I was 8 years old, running with a dime in my hand....(oh wait, that's a Springsteen lyric. See the video below).

I do have strong feelings of love for my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. It is a beautiful place populated by proud people who have accomplished many great things. Carnegie Mellon is one of the world's leading universities. The medical industry in Pittsburgh outpaces most in the world. World changing industries have emerged right on the three rivers. And the Pittsburgh Steelers have more Super Bowls than anyone. Period.

These are things I miss from my hometown.

Mountain Biking

Pennsylvania single track is as fun as a powder day at Steamboat. The woods are dense and moist. Instead of Rocky Mountain rocks, we have to find our way over fallen trees. Awesome.

The City of Pittsburgh

The restaurants, a baseball game at PNC, the incline, it's a great, safe, clean city to visit and enjoy.

My Family

It's the main thing that gives me conflict about calling Colorado home. They drive me to create a dual existence with part of the year there and part of the year here.

Here are 20 other great things about my original 'hood.
