This family-friendly event, put on by Loveland Water and Power, is a great chance for everyone to learn more about two things we can't live without.

This will be the second year for the Passport to Water and Power event held in Loveland. All the fun will be at the Loveland Water and Power Service Center located at 200 North Wilson Avenue from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, July 23.

Loveland residents can tour the facilities and learn about how things actually work. Visitors can also interact with each aspect of their municipal utility and find out exactly how water and power reaches homes, schools and businesses.

There will also be lots of fun 'hands on' things to do and a chance to get wet by spinning a wheel and then standing in a simulated flood (shown in pic) called the Water Wheel of Misfortune which simulates a 20, 50 or 100 year flood.

There will be 25 different stations for kids and families to check out including,

  • Heavy Equipment Show
  • Face Painting
  • Flood Splash Booth
  • Seed Planting
  • Ride and Drive with DENC
  • LWP Mascot 'Glow'

Lots of family fun, food and prizes this Thursday, July 23 starting at 3:30 p.m. For more information click on the big red link below for a free ride to the event page on Facebook. If you don't have Facebook, just click here for more information.
