It's finally here...it's OPENING DAY for baseball! It is without a doubt the most optimistic day for all fans as their team, and all teams, are currently in first place.

Here are some interesting facts to start the season:
1. This is the first time since 1968 that all teams will begin the season on the same day.
2. Budweiser petitioned the US Government to make Opening Day a national holiday. Over 102,000 people signed it. With all 30 teams starting on the same day, this would be a good idea.
3. The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council says we will down 19 million hot dogs and 4.6 million sausages during the season.
4. Some ballparks will be offering up gluten free and organic dishes.

1. The most expensive team to follow is the Chicago Cubs when you include tickets for every home game, parking, food, drinks, one hat and one custom jersey. Cost: $15,722.77. The Rockies rank #11 on the least expensive list with a total cost of $7,042.52. The #1 least expensive team: The Los Angeles Angels. Cost: $4,520.66.

MOST BOBBLEHEADS: #1 (tie) Texas Rangers, LA Dodgers with 12. The Rockies rank #29 out of 30 teams with only 2 bobblehead promotions this season.
