As we approach the Insane Inflatable 5k, I remember how important play is to me.

Now that I have a son, life is busier than it already was. However, I will not let go of play. I have to play.

It almost doesn't matter what I play, it only matters that I play. I truly believe this has such importance on my overall attitude, mental and physical health and in managing my stress levels.

I don't have to play in the same way, for the same amounts of time, or at the same games and sports, but I do have to play.

The best part is that I think that after we move past the "I only poop, eat, sleep and cry" phase of his life, I'll be able to play with him. I'll be his protector of recess.

The Insane Inflatable 5k is the perfect example of something that I need to sign up for, because I know it will be so much fun. That's all I want, is a chance a few times per week to focus on a game with an object that is physically tiring. Play. I'll never let it go!
