Greek motorcycle drag racer, Filippos Papafilippou, may be one of the luckiest racers in the history of motorcycle racing. What he did defies any and all odds.

This story comes from the United Kingdom where one of the most bizarre things to ever happen on a drag strip occurred.

The race at the Santa Pod Raceway in September of 2014 matched racers Steve Woollatt in the left lane and Filippos Papafilippou in the right. Things went wrong very quickly when Papafilippou crossed the center line and veered towards Woollatt who was pulling away.

In the blink of an eye, the two collided and Papafilippou ditched his bike and ended up on the wheelie bars of Woollatt's bike. Steve Woollatt said he saw it coming so moved his leg but never saw Papafilippou jump off. Wollatt said his bike felt real funny and turned to see what was up only to see he had picked up a hitchhiker.

Filippos Papafilippou had his leg stuffed between the wheelie bar and rear tire and track officials had to actually cut part of Woollatt's bike apart to remove his leg. In fact, the smoke you'll see in the video is from his boot and leg leathers rubbing against the rear tire.

The crazy thing is he only suffered a skin abrasion to the foot where contact with the track burnt through his leather racing boot.

Wow...just wow!
